Building a better society

This is a Climate Justice Testimony from Nishma from the UK taken in October 2010. Learn more about how you can collect your own testimonies to spread the stories of climate justice.

ENGLISH transcription: Hello, I’m Nishma from the UK and my particular concerns have been because I grew up in Kenya. I’ve seen a lot of poverty and that in itself has been exacerbated by climate change, especially in the worst affected regions in the north west of Kenya. I can see that there is a direct link to the way that we produce and we consume our products in the UK as well as the way we lobby. And our own behaviour in tackling climate change hasn’t been strong enough. And we do need to take some action now to become more community focused and basically try to reduce our own carbon emissions by being more considerate to each other and building a better society.
