This is a Climate Justice Testimony from Natacha from France taken in November 2010. Learn more about how you can collect your own testimonies to spread the stories of climate justice.

ENGLISH translation: Good afternoon. My name is Natacha. I have been involved in the environmental movement for several years. I am originally from France and my involvement has been closely related to my job. I work in an environmental NGO that is fighting against big business lobbying to block climate action and trying to promote false solutions to prevent serious climate action in Europe, and increase profits for their own companies. So this is actually what I am facing in my daily life. We face a lot of resistance and it is quite difficult, but we think it is important to do it and that is what keeps us going. And besides, in my daily life, I am also very encouraged by the many local-level initiatives. For instance people who are putting a lot of efforts into renewables, in their own houses with solar panels; or people who are very into recycling with composting in their gardens; or people who develop initiatives to renew green spaces, including through community gardens. And so this is also what we do in the place where I live and in my area; we try to push these as well.
